Spotlight

One author, one book, all the attention

A spotlight is not a listing. It is an editorial feature written by a reader who finished your book, designed properly and published on a fixed date to an audience that came for exactly this.

Live featuring

Watch a spotlight session

A recorded segment from a live festival featuring session. Virtual Participation authors receive a session of their own, edited and archived on the portfolio page.

Process

How a spotlight is built

01 — Intake

You send your author name, book title, genre, cover file and a two-line description. Our account manager, Olaleye Hammed, confirms your slot and your feature date within one business day.

02 — Editorial write-up

A festival editor reads your material and writes the spotlight copy: a hook, a book summary that does not spoil the ending, and an author paragraph that sounds like you rather than a press release.

03 — Design

Your cover is set into the festival spotlight frame with your name, genre and feature date. You receive the graphic in square, portrait and banner ratios for your own channels.

04 — Publication

The spotlight goes live on your feature date across the author directory, the spotlight wall, the festival newsletter and our social channels.

05 — Live segment

Virtual Participation authors also receive a recorded interview and a live reading slot, published to the portfolio and kept online permanently.

06 — Aftercare

Two weeks after your feature you receive a short performance note — reach, clicks and reader comments — plus your digital certificate of participation.
